The name Petite Abeille (pronounced {puh-teet a-bay} means, “Little Bee,” and is also the title of a children’s book, popular in the 1970’s in Belgium. This restaurant is artistically decorated with Tintin and other Belgian comic book characters to bring the culture of Belgium to life. The décor also conveys the warmth of a full-service, casual dining experience. From the murals on the walls to the savory aromas as you walk through their doors-- Petite Abeille offers an experience and menu that is truly a freshness you can see and taste. Company founder, Yves Jadot, had tested his entrepreneurial success on a restaurant concept of a different color when he first opened the doors of Petite Abeille Chelsea in March of 1996. Yves’ vision was to provide New Yorkers with the fine quality of traditional Belgian food at an affordable price, served up in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This was his chance to demonstrate his uncompromising passion for quality, food and people.
The idea worked well as Yves pioneered Belgian cuisine in the Meatpacking district of New York City. Since then, Yves and his brothers, David and Christophe, have expanded Petite Abeille. There are now 3 additional locations in Greenwich Village, Tribeca and Peter Cooper Village.

Over 20 minutes after placing my order, an unfriendly man called me to inform me that just because there was another location closer to where I was delivering, that he refused to deliver my order. Even though I was less than 10 blocks away, I'd already waited 20 minutes, I'd already PAID for my order and Seamless web indicated that it was within delivery distance. What a waste of time!

Good. Had the steak frites -- fries were a little soggy, which is typically the case in delivery scenarios, sadly. The steak was excellent, if a little fatty. The liege waffle was cold and rather hard. I'd say yes to the entree but pass on ordering waffles.

Terrible. I've actually eaten in the restaurant many times and it used to be one of my favorites, but it's really gone downhill. I ordered the Flemish Beef Stew with the Belgian fries and it was approximately the size of a small appetizer, cold, and the fries were cold, flattened, and stale tasting. I called the restaraunt to discuss and the staff were defensive and rude. Don't order from here.

The food was fine but all people who ate it ended up very ill. I called the restaurant to inform them but the manager did not seem to care. Unfortunate experience.

It over an hour to deliver my food and I'm only one block away. The food was very under whelming and cold. Skip this place.

I had the beef stew on the recommendation here and Yelp. There were three small chunks in a tasty gravy ... and all of the pieces of beef had been cooked until they were hammered. They were too dry to bite into. Accompanying fries were soggy and cold. For the price, the worst meal I've had on Seamless Web.

Well-prepared and well-delivered food that tastes at home like it would at the restaurant. I had the Salmon with Israeli Couscous and thought it was wonderful!

I have eaten at the restaurant which is quite good but their delivery service sucks, it took over an hour and a half to arrive and everything was ice cold, hard and unattractive. Will not order delivery from them again. Best go to the restaurant.

What a pleasant surprise that they are delivering to me! I've loved them for years, and they were impeccable in their food delivery.
